Believe it or not, opening night for high school football is just three weeks away, with practices beginning this Monday.
S.B. Adams, S.B. Riley, S.B. Clay, S.B. St. Joseph, Marian, New Prairie and John Glenn took part in picture day at the College Football Hall of Fame on Friday.
One team that is an unknown for the upcoming season is St. Joe. The Indians lose 15 starters from a team that went 7-3 a year ago.
But head coach Kevin Downey still has high hopes for the season. He has a number of seniors who are ready to move from the JV level to the Varsity.
And the senior class has a history of winning. In 2004, the seniors had an undefeated season as freshmen.
The Indians open the 2007 season August 17th when they host South Bend Adams.
There will also be a new look to our coverage of high school football on NewsCenter 16. It is called Friday Night Football. As we get closer to the start of the season, we will have details on what you, the fan, can expect on Friday Night Football.
