(AP) - Michigan's athletic director says the Wolverines won't settle for just any opponent when their football series with Notre Dame takes a break.
Bill Martin says Michigan will play a national power from a major conference to replace the Irish after the 2011 season. Martin won't name names right now, but says several schools have approached him.
Notre Dame's a-d last week said Oklahoma will replace Michigan for two years after the current contract expires, but the rivalry isn't going to disappear.
Martin says both schools will meet soon to continue contract talks.
