Hundreds of sports fans are in South Bend this weekend for the 2007 College Football Enshrinement Festival.
On Friday, some of the best football players and coaches got a chance to show what they are made of, not on the gridiron but on the golf course.
The Annual Golf Outing was held at Blackthorn golf course.
Most of the enshrinees were on hand for the round of golf which as you can imagine is pretty competitive.
In the class of 2007, there are two Heisman winners, Charlie Ward of Florida State and Nebraska's Mike Rozier as well as the Outland Trophy winner from 1987, Chad Hennings of Air Force.
NFL all-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith arrived in South Bend on Friday afternoon. He spent his day talking with children and cancer patients at Memorial Hospital.
Friday was also the first of two autograph sessions. Seminole fans dominated the Hall of Fame line----all for a chance to meet legendary coach Bobby Bowden and former standout QB Charlie Ward.
The fans weren't disappointed. Bowden went beyond the call of duty, speaking with every fan about anything they wanted to talk about.
