Michael Edison was an all-state player for Plymouth and later was a standout at Bethel. Now he gets to realize his lifelong dream. On Wednesday, Michael was named to succeed his dad as the Pilgrims head coach. The younger Edison has been an assistant coach in the PHS program and is one of the most highly regarded young coaches in the state.
Remarkably, the vote to hire Michael was 4-1 instead of the expected unanimous approval.
Under Jack Edison, the Pilgrims won a pair of state titles, 1982 and 2006
