Michael Vick indicted

Falcons quarterback Michael Vick faces charges that he and two others conspired to promote dogfighting by transporting dogs across state lines.

Vick also faces charges of cruelty to animals for arranging dog fights.

Federal officials raided a house owned by Vick. The raid produced items that are associated with dogfighting.

Vick did not live at the home where the contraband was found.

If Vick is convicted, he could spend six years in jail.

There was no comment from either the Falcons or the NFL.
