Sosa Slams 600th Career Homer vs. Cubs

Many thought Sammy Sosa's career home run total was going to end at 588.

But Slammin' Sammy returned to the big leagues this year with his original team, the Texas Rangers. Tonight, he became the 5th major leaguer in baseball history to reach 600 home runs.

Ironically, the homer came against the Cubs---the team he hit 545 home runs for.

Sosa joins Henry Aaron, Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth and Willie Mays in the 600 home run club.

Sosa's career milestone came in the 5th inning with no one on base on a 1-2 pitch. Sammy knew it was gone as his trademark home run strut was in full force.

Sosa has 12 home runs and 53 RBI for the Rangers this season.
