Muffet's Squad stays at #3 in nation heading into Central Florida game
Whether they are ranked 2nd or 3rd, Muffet McGraw says none of that matters right now as the 10-0 Irish head to Orlando Tuesday to battle Central Florida.

The Notre Dame women's basketball team did not move up to number two in the national rankings on Monday despite #2 Stanford losing to top-ranked UConn last week.
Either way, head coach Muffet McGraw says none of that matters right now as the 10-0 Irish head to Orlando Tuesday at noon to battle Central Florida.
"You know we really don't think about that at all--we're not interested in the rankings," McGraw said Sunday before the latest AP Poll kept the Irish at number three. "It doesn't have anything to do with how we are playing right now."
"We are going to get some tests pretty soon in the month of January when the Big East schedule comes up. We just want to get through this first part of the season."
Notre Dame has not played since beating Charlotte by 59 points on December 20th. Central Florida, meanwhile, is just 3-5.
But the Irish understand this could be a trap game.
"Every opponent from here on out will be a huge game for us," senior captain Melissa Lechlitner says. "One small little mistake or mental lapse here or there---we just have to remain focus and play the game that has gotten us to this 10-0 spot right here."
After Tuesday's matinee, the Irish return home to host Vanderbilt on Thursday then go to West Lafayette to face Purdue on Monday.
After that, the Big East season gets underway.
