Cesar Izturis stroked a two-run double to left field in the 8th inning to give the Cubs a 5-4 lead which held up as Chicago won over Seattle at Wrigley Field.
The Cubs have received a boost from some of the younger players like Felix Pie, Mike Fontenot, Sean Marshall and Angel Pagan who all seem to be infusing some much needed energy into the Cubs offense.
