Cubs win, Sox lose on Monday

Carlos Zambrano allowed only an unearned run and also homered as the Cubs won over Houston, 2-1 on Monday at Wrigley Field. The game was originally scheduled for April but was postponed due to snow.

Ryan Theriot knocked in a second-inning run while Zambrano homered in the third. After blowing the save against Atlanta on Sunday, Ryan Dempster got the final outs for the win.

The White Sox woes continue. The Phils got solo homers from Pat Burrell, Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins to post the 3-0 win at Philadelphia. Javier Vazquez took the loss while Adam Eaton was the winner. Chicago has now lost six of seven and was shut out for the 5thy time in 2007.
