Tate selected for AFCA All-America team
Notre Dame, IN Irish wide receiver Golden Tate has been selected for the 2009 American Football Coaches Association All-American team.

Irish wide receiver Golden Tate has been selected for the 2009 American Football Coaches Association All-American team.
Tate is the 49th Notre Dame player, and the 56th selection to the AFCA All-America team. Only Oklahoma has had more players selected.
Tate is the first Irish player picked since cornerback Shane Walton in 2002.
This year, Tate tied or broke six school records, including tying the school record for 15 receiving touchdowns and setting a single season record with 93 receptions for 1,496 years.
Tate is also a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
