It may not be the greatest spectacle in racing, but in South Bend, Memorial weekend means it is time to get on the soccer field.
Thousands of soccer players and fans made their way to South Bend this weekend for the annual Junior Irish Soccer Invitational Tournament.
More than 200 teams came to the area for a weekend of games.
Boys and girls aged nine to 19 came from seven different states and Canada to participate in the tournament.
They played at the Junior Irish fields near the airport and at Newton Park in Lakeville.
