Tigers join Tribe atop the AL Central

The Detroit Tigers got a pair of home runs from Magglio Ordonez while Curtis Granderson had a two-run single and a solo shot as the Tigers held on to win over the Angels, 8-7 on Wednesday in Detroit.

The win, along with Cleveland's loss to the Royals, puts Detroit and the Tribe in a virtual tie atop the division.

Mike Napoli's three-run homer tightened the game to a one-run affair before Granderson's solo shot gave Detroit the lead for good.
