The Irish baseball team jumped out to a 5-0 lead on Saturday in its regular season finale against UConn.
But the lead slowly dwindled away and a 2-RBI single in the top of the 9th gave the Huskies the lead for good as they went on to the 7-6 win.
It was typical of ND's 2007 season. An up and down one where you never know what team will show up. After all, the Irish had an unbelievable game on Friday--where they battled back to win in the 9th in order to clinch a spot in the Big East Tourney.
Notre Dame will be the 7th seed and face Rutgers in the opening round on Tuesday at 1PM in Brooklyn, New York. The Irish won 2 of 3 against the Scarlet Knights this year.
