Angel Pagan went 3 for 5 including a two-run triple as the Cubs rallied to defeat the White Sox, 6-3 on Friday to open inter-league play. The Sox held a 3-1 lead but Pagan's hit tied the game. He scored later on a wild pitch. The Cubs added a pair of insurance runs in the 8th.
Ryan Dempster was right back at it to close the game. He was clobbered on Thursday at Shea Stadium by the Mets but had no trouble in getting the save on Friday.
