Jason Marquis was staked to a 4-0 lead against the Mets on Monday but neither he nor the Cubs bullpen could hold the lead as New York rallied to win, 5-4.
Marquis had a two-run single but the Mets chipped away at the lead and tied it on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Damion Easley. In the 9th, reliever Michael Werntz loaded the bases and walked Carlos Delgado on a full count to score the winning run.
