Quinn Arrives in Cleveland

Saturday was a very long day for Brady Quinn. As he sat in the green room of the NFL draft waiting for his name to be called, player after player was selected. He ended up waiting about 3-4 hours longer than he ever imagined before he heard his name picked by the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd pick.

Brady's day didn't end there. After media interviews, Quinn hopped on a plane to Cleveland arriving there late last night.

Today, Quinn had a little trouble getting up. He was actually late arriving at the Browns facility when he would be introduced to the local media. Browns General Manager Phil Savage joked that Quinn was paying the Browns back for making him wait so long to get drafted. Savage said at first they thought Quinn's girlfirend was the reason for the delay, but he quickly learned it was Brady himself who was running late.

When things got down to business, Quinn talked about his love for the Browns. He spoke about growing in Ohio and going to Cleveland games by the age of 7. His grandfather was a major influence in him becoming a Browns fan and Quinn said it was instilled in him early on.

Holding a Browns #10 jersey, Quinn also talked about his excitement for the upcoming Cleveland season. He's delighted to have see such a talented offensive group, including fellow 1st round selection Joe Thomas, and OT out of Wisconsin who was taken by the Browns with the third pick.
