The 4th-ranked Irish women's basketball team will open its much anticipated season Sunday night at 7pm against Arkansas Pine-Bluff at Purcell Pavilion.
Notre Dame returns every player from last year's team and adds the nation's top freshman in South Bend Washington grad Skylar Diggins.
A sell out crowd is expected for the game.
Muffet McGraw is entering her 23rd season as the Irish head coach.
St. Joe grad Melissa Lechlitner is now a senior and will lead the Irish as a captain and the team's point guard.
