The Tigers are looking like the defending American League champions.
Brandon Inge led the way with 3 RBI, including a solo home run in the 3rd that put Detroit ahead 1-0. After opening a 5-2 lead, the Blue Jays made a comeback in the 8th to make it 5-4. Joel Zumaya then came in for two innings of relief for the save en route to the 5-4 win.
The win was the Tigers' 3rd straight and 5th in six games.
Mike Maroth pitched seven innings giving up 2 runs for the win.
