Tigers, White Sox both win

For 11 innings, the Tigers and Orioles couldn't muster a run.

Then in the 12th, Craig Monroe ended all that with a 2-out Grand Slam to lead Detroit to the 4-1 win.

The Tigers are now 5-3 on the season.

Justin Verlander pitched 7 great innings, striking out 5 while giving up just 3 hits and 0 runs.

In Oakland, the White Sox scored 5 runs in the last two innings to beat the A's 6-3.

Jermaine Dye tied the game in the 8th with a 2-run home run. Then in the 9th, Darin Erstad hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run.

Chicago is now 4-4 on the year.

The Cubs were postponed due to bad weather in Chicago.
