The Notre Dame basketball team held its season ending banquet this evening at the Joyce Center.
The Irish honored seniors Colin Falls and Russell Carter as the team's Co-MVPs.
Carter is coming off an outstanding performance at the Portsmouth Invitational, a major NBA pre-draft camp. Carter led his team to the tournament championship. In the finals, he scored an impressive 28 points on 12-17 shooting, 9 rebounds and three steals. For the three game tourney, Carter averaged 19.6 PPG and shot a remarkable 60% from the field.
Falls is coming off a tremendous senior season where he became the Big East's all-time three-point shooter, surpassing Gerry McNamara of Syracuse.
Head Coach Mike Brey's Big East Coach of the Year trophy was on display for the many in attendance to see.
