ND Football Back at Practice

The Notre Dame football team was back at practice today for the first in a week.

It was the team's 10th practice of the spring. They have four remaining before the Blue-Gold game on April 21st.

Head coach Charlie Weis said he is playing no favorites in the race for the QB position. All four candidates are getting an even shot and he said he doesn't have any preference on who wins out. He also said the Blue-Gold game will be treated like a 15th practice and carry no extra weight to it.

Weis also talked about being forced indoors due to bad weather. He pointed out that it effects the team's punting game because they cannot properly prepare for that aspect of special teams in the Loftus Center. He said while he does not and will not practice in snow and ice, he isn't opposed to practicing in windy and rainy conditions. He just prefers that it's 65 degrees outside when doing so.

Nose tackle Chris Stewart was back on the practice field on Wednesday. It was his first action in 12 days. Stewart rolled his ankle Friday, March 30th and missed 3 and a half practices.
