David Brown fell short on his quest to win the Hobey Baker Award--college hockey's version of Heisman. Brown was one of three finalists. North Dakota sophomore forward Ryan Duncan was the winner.
Brown led the Irish to the CCHA championship this year and to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament.
Despite not winning the Hobey Baker Award, Brown took home other hardware. The senior won the Lowe's Senior Class Award--Presented to college hockey's top senior student athlete. It was the first year for the award.
