6-Run First leads Cubs to win

10 batters, 6 hits, 6 runs. Not a bad first inning for the Cubs.

Then pitcher Rich Hill followed it up by retiring the first 15 batters he faced, taking a perfect game into the 6th inning before giving up a home run to end it. That was the only hit Hill gave up in 7 innings of work.

Cliff Floyd hit a double in the 1st to open the lead to 3-0. Two batters later, Mark DeRosa hit his second home run of the season in the 6-run 1st inning. DeRosa is the only Cubs player to go yard so far this season.

Chicago is now 2-2 on the season.
