It wasn't the prettiest of games, in fact it was downright ugly at times. UCLA and IU with all the tradition and heritage had a hard time getting the ball through the bucket in Sacramento on Saturday.
The Bruins did build a double-digit lead before the Hoosiers rallied. IU caught UCLA on a driving layup by Earl Calloway to tie the game at 49. But the Bruins got the lead back at the free throw line and IU was forced into a turnover to give the Bruins the win, 54-49.
