Notre Dame Basketball Beats Rival Depaul

Revenge may be a dish best served cold, but Notre Dame was red hot Tuesday night at the Joyce Center.

The Irish turned in one of their most dominating performances of the year in a 78-54 win over DePaul.

Just 12 days ago, the Irish lost a heartbreaking 67-66 decision to the Blue Demons.

Colin Falls led a balnced attack with 19 points, but five Irish players scored in double figures.

Freshman Tory Jackson just missed a double-double, pouring in 13 points while collecting nine rebounds.

The Irish find themselves 21-6 and 9-5 in the Big East, good enough for a fourth-place tie.

If Notre Dame can sweep its last two games, the Irish will have a bye for the first round of the Big East tourney.

16th-ranked Marquette visits the Joyce Center Saturday for a nationally-televised showdown.
