Verlander and Tigers win over KC

Tigers starter Justin Verlander struck out 11 as his teammates rallied to win over the Royals on Tuesday, 8-6 at Comerica.
Verlander gave up a bases loaded double to David DeJesus as KC took a 3-1 lead. But Verlander settled down as the Tigers bats got to the Royals pitching. Placido Polanco homered as did Marcus Thames as Detroit bounced back for the victory.
Fernando Rodney got his 18th save in 18 chances to close the game
