As the 2008-2009 school year comes to an end, the NCAA has released the study for academic progress among the nation's colleges and universities for all sports. Once again, Notre Dame is at the top of the list.
There are 26 intercollegiate programs at Notre Dame and all exceeded the standards set by the NCAA.
It's a four-year compilation of data that has the Irish at the top of the list among schools that play division one football as it relates to all athletic programs at those schools.
Among the big time college football programs, only 10 points separated Notre Dame from the top team, Stanford. Other schools that did well include Navy, Air Force, Penn State, Miami of Florida and Georgia.
