Giants end Cubs winning streak

A three-run homer by Bengie Molina in the first inning was enough for Tim Lincecum and the Giants as San Francisco won on Tuesday at Wrigley, 6-2.

Lincecum, the 2008 Cy Young winner, struck out seven in seven innings.

The Giants had a 3-2 lead in the eighth and pushed it to 6-2 as former Irish star Jeff Samardzija allowed a bases loaded double to Aaron Rowand who had been in an 0 for 20 slump.

Bobby Scales started for the Cubs at second base. He's been in the minors for 11 years and got his first hit, a single, off Lincecum.
