Irish to face Scarlet Knights in NYC

Yes, the task is monumental but the Irish mens basketball team will give it a shot at the Big East Tourney in New York City. Rutgers will be the first opponent as the Irish look for its second win of the season against the State University of New Jersey.

The first game between the teams took place at the Joyce Center when the Irish had to rally to win.

All-America Luke Harangody and Mike Brey have some thoughts on tonight's game

It's gonna be a great challenge for us Tuesday night starting off against Rutgers. We realize what we have to do, and it's definitely going to be a challenge for us," Harangody says. "I think we're just going to have to make it interesting. We just have to win the one that is in front of us, and this is Tuesday night against Rutgers, then we have to worry about Wednesday night."

The coach is gonna be the loosest guy ever. I may be wearing loafers or slippers. Believe me, this group can be. My job is going to be to be loose, and then our senior captains have to keep me loose…we'll wing it," says Brey.
