After Notre Dame pounced on Washington this weekend, leaving the team with a dismal 0 and 7 record, you knew the team's leadership would be seriously questioned.
On Monday, Tyrone Willingham was, in effect, fired as head coach of the Huskies.
He took over the program the same year Charlie Weis came to Notre Dame. Of course, Willingham preceded Weis as the head coach of the Irish.
Since defeating Florida State in Tallahassee in 2002, Willingham's squads at Notre Dame and Washington have had a combined record of 24 and 48.
At a press conference Monday, Willingham did not speculate about his future in the NCAA.
