Former Irish standout Garrity retires from NBA

After 10 years in the NBA, Former Irish basketball standout Pat Garrity has retired from basketball.

Garrity was an All-American at Notre Dame. He was the Big East Player of the Year as a junior and averaged 23 points a game as a senior.

He was the 19th overall pick in the 1998 draft.

Garrity played most of his NBA career with the Orland Magic, playing the second most games in franchise history.
