Not Retired for long: Dean Foster returning to coaching

So much for a retirement.

It took just two months for Dean Foster to realize he couldn't stay away from coaching.

After retiring from Penn in July, Foster decided to make a comeback this week. He will take over at 4A Richmond starting immediately.

The position opened up when Richmond's basketball coach decided to take over the recently vacant Athletic Director position.

Foster's basketball coaching status is considered interim, according to his wife.

Foster won 426 games in 34 seasons as a head coach.
