Friday Night Football schedule and capsules for Week 4

It should be an exciting week four of Friday Night Football in Indiana and Michigan. Here are the games you will see Friday at 11.

Pizza Hut Spotlight Game of the Week:
Buchanan at Berrien Springs

  • Time: 7 p.m.
  • Stadium: Berrien Springs’s Sylvester Field
  • Records: Buchanan (2-0), Berrien Springs (0-2)
  • Notes: Lakeland Conference action gets underway Friday night as the Bucks and Shamrocks face off. While Buchanan has started the season undefeated, Berrien Springs has lost to a pair of state-ranked teams.

NorthWood at Goshen
  • Time: 7:30 p.m.
  • Stadium: Goshen’s Foreman Field
  • Records: NorthWood (2-1), Goshen (2-1)
  • Last Meeting: Goshen 43, NorthWood 14
  • Notes: Goshen High School will be honoring their 1978 and 1988 state championship teams at halftime of this Northern Lakes Conference match-up.

Memorial at Warsaw
  • Time: 7:30 p.m.
  • Stadium: Warsaw’s Tiger Athletic Complex
  • Last Meeting: Warsaw 16, Memorial 6
  • Records: Warsaw (2-1), Memorial (2-1)
  • Notes: Both teams are coming off telling NLC conference, with Memorial trouncing Goshen 28-3, and Warsaw falling to Plymouth 35-7.

Birmingham Rice (MI) at Penn
  • Time: 7:00 p.m.
  • Stadium: Penn’s Freed Field
  • Records: Birmingham Rice (1-1), Penn (1-2)
  • Notes: The Kingsmen righted the ship last week with a 42-0 drubbing of Marian in their first win of the season. But now Penn will try to avoid a 1-3 start as Birmingham Rice – one of the top teams in Michigan – comes to town.

Marian at Clay
  • Time: 7:00 p.m.
  • Stadium: Clay Field
  • Records: Marian (0-3), Clay (1-2)
  • Last Meeting: Clay 35, Marian 14
  • Notes: The Colonials have won the last four meetings between these two teams. The Knights are trying to turn things around after last week’s loss to Penn.

Adams at Washington
  • Time: 7:00 p.m.
  • Stadium: School Field
  • Records: Adams (1-2), Washington (2-1)
  • Last Meeting: Adams 35, Washington 13
  • Notes: Prior to last year, the Eagles hadn’t beaten Washington since 1999, but the Panthers look to get back on the right track after Elkhart Central dealt them their first loss last week.

Elkhart Central at St. Joseph’s
  • Time: 7:00 p.m.
  • Stadium: Central’s Rice Field
  • Records: Central (1-2), St. Joe (3-0)
  • Last Meeting: Central 30, St. Joe 23
  • Notes: Even though it’s a home contest for the Indians, the game will be played at Rice Field, because St. Joseph’s does not have a home field available. This gives the Tribe a chance to revenge a road loss from last season to the Blazers, who won their first contest last week over Washington.

Bremen at Triton
  • Time: 7:30 p.m.
  • Stadium: Triton High School
  • Records: Bremen (2-1), Triton (3-0)
  • Last Meeting: Triton 26, Bremen 21
  • Notes: Both Triton and Bremen are off to good starts this season. The Trojans are allowing just under nine points per contest, while Bremen has its first plus-.500 record after three games since 1996.
