ND Grad grant signs 4-year deal with Packers

While all the attention in Green Bay has been centered around Brett Favre, there is another big name Packer who has not been in camp.

Running back Ryan Grant.

But that will soon change as the Notre Dame grad agreed to a 4-year deal with the Packers that could pay him up to $30 million.

Grant will earn $4.25 million this season, which includes $3 million up front when he signs the contract.

The majority of the money is based on how well he plays.

Grant had a breakout season in 2007 after taking over the starting role midway through the year. He was a key reason the Packers made it to the NFC Championship game.

Grant could be in camp as soon as Sunday.
