Steve Orsini pulls out of ND athletic director derby

Steve Orsini will remain at SMU as athletic director despite being prominently mentioned in the runing to replace Dr. Kevin White at Notre Dame.
Sources close to the athletic program in Dallas told NewsCenter 16 early Friday evening that Orsini would be staying with the Mustangs.
Orsini was a captain on the 1977 National Championship football team for the Irish. He also worked at the university before eventually becomeing the athletic director at Central Florida and SMU.
White resigned in late May to take over as the athletic director at Duke.
