There are very few, if any, college basketball coaches over the past few seasons who have had the success of Mike Brey at Notre Dame, especially when one considers the naysayers who consistently underrated the Irish.

On Monday, Brey agreed to a new deal with Notre Dame that will keep him as head coach until 2015.

In 2008, Brey's Irish finished tied for second in the Big East despite being picked for 9th in the pre-season. It's expected that ND will challenge for the top spot in the upcoming season, with four of five starters returning.
