The Pacers traded a big man and then drafted a big man.
The Pacers traded for a point guard and then drafted a point guard. And then traded him too.
It was a wild 24 hours for Larry Bird's team.
Wednesday night, Indiana traded Jermaine O'Neal to Toronto for point guard TJ Ford, the 17th overall pick and two other players.
Thursday, the Pacers picked another point guard---Jerryd Bayless from Arizona-- with the 11th overall pick, then traded him and Ike Diogu to Portland for the 13th pick---Brandon Rush-- as well as Jarrett Jack and Josh McRoberts.
In his junior season at Kansas, Rush--a shooting guard-- averaged 13 points and 5 rebounds en route to winning a national championship.
He coule be playing alongside his older brother Kareem, who was a guard for the Pacers this past season, but is a free agent.
With the 17th pick, Indiana drafted Georgetown 7-footer Roy Hibbert, who averaged 13 points and 6 rebounds a game in his senior season with the Hoyas.
Both trades are still pending NBA approval.
In the 2nd round, the Pacers selected Nathan Jawai, a forward from Australia, with the 41st overall pick.
