With former teammate Eric Gordon selected by the Clippers with the 7th overall pick, White becomes the 2nd Hoosier player drafted in the 1st round.
White was the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2008, averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds a game for the Hoosiers.
The Pistons received the 32nd and 46th overall pick via the trade. With the 32nd pick, they picked up UAB big man Walter Sharpe.
The 6'9" Sharpe averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks a game in his sophomore season.
