Brady Quinn wanted to warm up for the Hannah & Friends Golf Classic, but everywhere he turned, a familiar face provided a friendly distraction.
After sharing a hug and conversation with his former coach Charlie Weis, Quinn took the time to talk to Newscenter 16 about how things are going a year after graduating from Notre Dame.
The former Irish standout QB said he was happy to be back in town and wished there was a way he could be around more to help out his former coach.
Quinn is coming off his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns, where he saw virtually no playing time due to the emergence of 3rd year player Derek Anderson.
Quinn said he understands that Anderson will get the nod at QB based on last year, but Brady hopes that by some point this season he will be able to take over.
Despite not playing last year, Quinn said he had a blast in his rookie season and very much enjoys the NFL.
He also said it was great to be on a team that won 10 games but that this year would be even greater challenge thanks to a tougher schedule.
