Candace Parker capped off her incredible career at Tennessee by leading the Lady Vols to a 64-48 win over Stanford for the 8th NCAA title won in womens basketball.

For the second year in a row, Parker was named the Most Outstanding Player in the tourney. She's leaving Tennessee for the WNBA having lost her rookie year to injury. Parker had 16 in the win.

Former St. Joe star Sydney Smallbone played one minute in the game for UT and had one point.

Next year Pat Summitt will go over 1000 victories, and she and her program are deserving of the accolades it receives. She is now second to John Wooden, and both coaches are excellent role models.

Way to go Lady Vols!!! Looking forward to next season and seeing Sydney, Angie and Vicki in action with the 7 new freshmen.
