Minnesota jumped out to a four-goal lead after one period and coasted to a 7-1 win over Michigan State on Saturday and a sweep of their men's college hockey series.
The Gophers (2-0-0), who won Friday's opener 5-1, led 4-0 after one and 6-0 after two periods. Seven different players scored goals for the Gophers.
Brady Skjei, Kyle Rau and Erik Haula had a goals and assist apiece for Minnesota (2-0-0), which gave head coach Don Lucia his 599th career win.
Justin Holl, Zach Budish and Christian Isackson had two assists each.
All four Minnesota lines had goals.
