Wide receiver D.J. Donley will leave Georgia Tech and play for Purdue starting in 2009.

Donley intends to make the move this summer and will have three years of eligibility, Purdue said in a news release today.

As a freshman for the Yellow Jackets last season, the 6-foot-4 Donley had eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown in 13 games. He caught a 20-yard touchdown pass and blocked a punt against Fresno State in a 40-28 loss in the Humanitarian Bowl on Dec. 31.

Donley attended Charlton County High School in Georgia. That school produced Purdue junior cornerback David Pender, sophomore linebacker DeVarro Greaves and incoming freshman athlete Ralph Bolden.
