Irish Baseball Big East home opener postponed to Saturday

Notre Dame baseball's Big East home opener against Cincinnati scheduled for Friday has been postponed due to weather.

The Irish and Bearcats will now play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1pm at Frank Eck Stadium.

Game three of the series is Sunday at 1pm.

Notre Dame is 3-0 in the Big East and have won five in a row and six of its last seven of its last eight.

Overall, the Irish are 12-7-1 so far this season.

Evan Sharpley leads Notre Dame with a .404 batting average. He also leads the team with six homeruns and 18 RBI.
