Irish start spring practice today
ND looks to be a whole lot different than 2007 Posted: 12:47 AM Mar 26, 2008Reporter: Jeff Jeffers |

Charlie Weis probably doesn't want to talk too much about his third season at Notre Dame as the Irish head football coach. It was a nightmare with a 3-9 record. But the first step toward getting better and improving on that begins Wednesday as spring drills begin.
There won't be many visible answers to the questions on the collective mind of Irish fans. Spring practice is a shadow of what used to be a period of time where a team could start building an identity for the fall. Now it's little more than a chance to lay a few layers of foundation before summer practice thanks to the limited contact prescribed by the NCAA.
Weis will address the media at noon and there will be complete coverage on NewsCenter 16 and at wndu.com
