Early risers for baseball opener

Breakfast and baseball is the order of the day for Boston Red Sox fans.

The 13-hour time difference meant a 6 a.m. Eastern time start to the team's regular-season opener against the Oakland Athletics in Tokyo.

Fans packed into "Game On," a sports bar attached to Fenway Park. Among them was Tony Massaroti, who planned to catch the first few innings on one of the bar's 90 TV screens before heading off to his job at a nearby hospital.

Massaroti says watching a Red Sox game with coffee and breakfast, instead of a beer, is a bit unusual.

No alcohol is being served.

Oakland fans really had to get up early to watch. The first pitch in Tokyo came a little after 3 a.m. in California.

The Red Sox and A's will play in Tokyo again tomorrow.
