Purdue had the guns blazing on Thursday and easily won over Baylor, 90-79 in NCAA action. The Bears, who many saw as the final team in the tourney, rallied and scrambled to make the final deficit 11 but Purdue was in control the entire game.
The Boilers hit nine three-point shots in the highest scoring output of the season. It's the 10th opening round NCAA win for Purdue. Matt Painter's squad now faces Xavier on Saturday
