Irish Icers even playoff series with Ferris State

So much for a scoring drought.

When the Irish Icers needed goals the most, they came through.

Facing elimination in the CCHA playoffs, Notre Dame defeated Ferris State 6-3 at the Joyce Center to even the best of three series at one game a piece.

The decisive game three of the quarterfinal series will be Sunday at 7pm at the Joyce Center.

Notre Dame jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Calle Ridderwall and Ian Cole.

After Ferris State evened the game at 2 in the second period, Cole scored again to give the Irish a 3-2 advantage heading into the final period.

The Irish opened the third with two power play goals from Eric Condra and Ben Ryan to extend the lead.

Tickets for game three can be purchased on und.com, the Notre Dame website, until Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

Then tickets will be available at Gate 3 of the Joyce Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

There is no sale at the Joyce Center prior to 5:00 p.m. at Gate 3.
