Trojan Triumph! Triton lone local to advance to State finals

Four local teams entered Semi-State shooting to reach the State Championship in Boys basketball.

But only one will head to Conseco Field House next Saturday.

Colton Keel scored with three seconds left to lift Triton past Lafayette Central Catholic 52-51 in the 1A Semi-State at Lafayette Jefferson High School.

Triton is headed to the state championship for the first time in school history. The Trojans will face Indy Lutheran at 10:30am next Saturday.

Riley (4a), Plymouth (3a), and Westview (2a) all lost in their respective Semi-State contests.

Riley's magical run ended with a 64-52 lost to Marion in the 4A Semi-State at Lafayette Jefferson High School. Marion has two players that will play at NC State next season.

Defending 3A State Champion Plymouth will not have a chance to repeat as Indiana's best as the Pilgrims fall to Harding in the 3A Semi-State 68-57 at Warsaw High School.

Also at Warsw, Westview lost for the first time since November 83-70 to Fort Wayne Luers in the 2A Semi-State.
