Hall of Fame announces luncheon speakers

The College Football Hall of Fame announced the line-up for the upcoming Gridiron Legends Luncheon Series and it's a star-studded group.

On April 18th, Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant will speak. Grant is a Notre Dame graduate and had a break-out season in 2007 for the Pack.

Former Purdue star Mike Alstott is set for April 30th. Alstott recently retired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a stellar NFL career. He's the only player in Boilermakers history to be named MVP for three times.

IU head coach Bill Lynch, who led the Hoosiers to a bowl game appearance in 2007, is scheduled for May 20th

Super Bowl XLII MVP Eli Manning is the speaker for the June 10th luncheon. The Ole Miss grad engineered one of the biggest upsets in Super Bowl history when Manning's Giants defeated New England.

Former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, who will someday be enshrined in Hall, will speak on August 8th.

The final speaker in the series is one of the greatest to ever play the game. Retired U.S. Army General Pete Dawins, who won the Hesiman Trophy in 1958, is scheduled for September 16th. Dawkins graduated West Point as one of the most decorated members of the Long Gray Line.
