Jeff Samardzija will likely start the baseball season at AAA for the Cubs but on Monday he made an early bid to get a longer look with the big club.

Samardzija worked two innings and got the win as the Cubs won over Seattle, 6-5.

Good pitching Jeff. I hope he is successful, and is brought up when he is ready, and helps the Cubs go far. I will go see him at the Iowa Cubs(AAA team) if he is in AAA long.

I sure wish the Cubs would bring him up into the Majors. It would be nice to see an American play in the Majors. With all the University's, College's, and high schools in America, I don't see why they have to go to Japan, Mexico, South and Central America and the Caribbean to get players to play the favorite American pastime sport.
